The newly founded Layer agency is focused on experiential design for both the physical and digital worlds. Led by British designer Benjamin Hubert and a growing creative team, Layer is partnering with progressive brands across a broad range of sectors to craft experiences that meet tomorrow’s demands today.

The last 5 years have been phenomenal, I have had the opportunity to work on projects and with clients I could only dream about when we started. However it is time for the business to evolve and represent more than just my point of view. To reflect our multi-layered, research-led approach, we are now Layer, says Benjamin Hubert.

The Layer team will continue to develop innovative furniture systems and has now expanded into consumer electronics, domestic goods, mobility, and apps. Layer creates experiences for some of the world’s most influential brands including Nike, Samsung, Braun, Oral B, Aesop, BMW, Panasonic, Herman Miller and Fritz Hansen.

The studio is also increasingly focusing on projects that stimulate social responsibility and explore ways that design can be used as a tool to create “change not just chairs”. This takes the form of collaborations with not- for-profit organisations, studio initiated projects, and projects with like-minded commercial partners.
