The Peace Pile is an interactive expression of peace that we hope will attract people worldwide of all political persuasions to make a simple statement in support of peace.

When you add to Peace Pile you’re not declaring your politics – you’re simply expressing your hope for peace. And you are doing it in solidarity with thousands of others across the world.

The Peace Pile takes its inspiration from MCA’s current exhibition, The Peace Project by Roberto Behar and Rosario Marquardt, R & R Studios. Their installation is a social space, an imaginary solution for the pursuit of hope. In Marquardt’s words, “With hope, peace is possible.”

The Peace Project is part of Museum of Contemporary Art | Denver’s Creative Acts That Matter series. The series, sponsored by The Compton Foundation, focuses on worldwide issues and creative reactions to them.
