How often have you not been standing in your local video rental shop scratching your head? Imagine the shelves with hundreds or thousands of titles. That is if you are not buying movies through the internet of course… Now it is much easier to make research at home. Check out Movie-map, an interesting tool based on a social network of film aficionados.

I did a quick check by searching on one of my all time favourites Bladerunner by Ridley Scott. Some of the tip-offs on the screen include – Pulp Fiction, Matrix, Clockwork orange, The Shining, Blue Velvet, Mulholland drive, Brazil plus a lot more. Not to bad I think. What’s good is that Movie-map allows you to continue clicking on a new movie from the search result and according to me, it is a great way to find new interesting movies. Like what Pandora and Last.fm are doing for music. Now I’m just waiting for Movie-map to make it possible to just click a title and start downloading the movie…

And yes, I’m from Sweden but I do not see Ingmar Bergman movies all the time…
