iMove is a lifestyle iPhone application for people who like to dance or express themselves through dancing. The main purpose of my project has been to create an application that stands out as a fashionable accessory among the vast amount of applications available in the app store today. iMove exudes freshness and innovation! The target group I have chosen to focus on is people aged 15-30 years. People in the audience have passion for modern technology and new media. Other words that reflect the target group’s interests are music, design, and entertainment.
iMove application is playing a basic beat in the start so that you are encouraged to start dancing. When you start moving, you create music according to various body movements. At the same time you’re iPhone is recording your movements with the accelerometer in the phone and create an animation with graphic pattern. When you have finished dancing, you can listen to the music you have created and watch the graphic pattern of how you have danced.
The iMovie application is designed by Elma Cavalic and is on exhibition at FORM/DESIGN Center in Malmö until the 7th of June.
Watch a short movie about the project below:
iPod Nano by Apple has just been released in a new version. The curved, all-aluminum and glass design comes in nine different colours. Give it a shake to shuffle your music. Turn it sideways to view Cover Flow. iPod Nano also creates playlists by finding songs in your library that go great together.

If you like Apple (is there something else…) the new MacBook Air was announced by Steve Jobs earlier today at the MacWorld Expo. See for yourselves below. I agree with Apple that the MacBook Air is truly thinnovation…

The new iMac from Apple was release a few days ago. The major change from the previous iMac is the beautiful new thin design with an anodised aluminum frame and the glossy widescreen display. Because it’s made from a single sheet of aluminum, you won’t see any seams or screws except for a single compartment on the bottom that provides easy access to the memory slots. The use of recyclable glass and aluminum makes iMac friendlier to the environment, too. Above is the new iMac commercial, below you can see the difference between an Apple iMac and a Dell XPS410 computer…

There is a lot of buzz about the iPhone around the world. David Pogue of The New York Times ditches his old cellphone for the iPhone in this sing-a-long sequel. I think you will recognize the good old Frank Sinatra song.
Now we are just waiting for the iPhone to come to Europe…

This is one of three great new ads from Apple on the new iPhone which will be in stores in the US June 29. As Apple are saying - there has never been an iPod that could do all the things the iPhone will be able to do. I just love how Apple time after time creates acquisitiveness with their great emotional and user-friendly products.
I just can’t wait to get my hands on an iPhone!

Another unofficial Apple store has recently opened in Second Life. It’s modeled after the Fifth Avenue NYC Store. If you havn’t been visiting Second Life before the video will give you a good look into a possible second life.

Leander Kahney at Wired news is writing about what kind of possibilities for the iPod that opens up because of the new deal between Apple (the computer company) and Apple (the record company). Steve Jobs has been prohibited to put music on any of his mobile products but this will change from now on.
Leander Kahney writes:
“Well, the iPod could become the new CD, especially if Apple starts offering cheap shuffle iPods pre-loaded with hot new albums or artists’ catalogs. Imagine a whole range of inexpensive, special-edition iPods branded with popular bands containing a new album, or their whole catalogs.”
“These cheap album iPods could be sold at bus stations and airports: instant music, no computer required. Bands could sell pre-loaded iPods at concerts, maybe containing the concert they just played. There could be Broadway show iPods, movie soundtrack iPods and iPods burned at retail stores with custom play lists. It’s going to be the biggest change to the iPod since the iTunes online store debuted in 2002.”
It is probably not a risky tip to say that we will see a yellow Beatles Yellow Submarine iPod as the first product out. Leander Kahney thinks it will be released already within a week for Valentine’s day.
Leander Kahney is managing editor at Wired News and the author of two books about technology culture: The Cult of Mac and The Cult of IPod.

In my earlier post about iPhone and sustainability I was mentioning that the only thing that I don’t like with Apple is that they do not take their responsibility all the way concerning a mutual green future. And suddenly, I saw the campaign Green my Apple from Greenpeace which exactly deals with this issue. This entry has been hanging in my computer for a couple of weeks but it is an important matter worth some further distribution so I post it anyway.
Greenpeace makes it clear already from the beginning by saying; “We love Apple. Apple knows more about “clean” design than anybody, right? So why do Macs, iPods, iBooks and the rest of their product range contain hazardous substances that other companies have abandoned? A cutting edge company shouldn’t be cutting lives short by exposing children in China and India to dangerous chemicals.”
During MacWorld Greenpeace bathed the Apple store in San Francisco in green light and they did send out a small squad of Green Apple volunteers with the task of handing out leaflets about the Green my Apple campaign. Greenpeace activists did also gather at the 5th Avenue Apple store in Manhattan shining “green” light on the emerging problem of electronic waste or e-waste.
The campaign is not asking for just “good enough.” They want Apple to do that “amaze us” thing that Steve does at MacWorld: go beyond the minimum and make Apple a green leader.
Join the campaign by clicking the banner below to get Steve to do Apple a little greener. Come on Steve - we know that you can!
