John-Michael Ekeblad, Chief Creative Officer for Daytime Projects Inc directs the company's international design and forecasting team, a global network of specialists and thinkers for products, color and life style trends. Mr. Ekeblad started his diverse design career in 1985 as Creative Director for IKEA, where he developed creative platforms for style positioning and new business initiatives. His twelve years of experience at IKEA led him to start Daytime Projects Inc. a Strategic Design Consultancy in NYC. While at Daytime projects, Mr. Ekeblad was able to use his practical art sense and fuse it with think-tanking and customizing trend and lifestyle forecasts, while working toward strategic design development. From 2001 - 2005 Mr. Ekeblad served as Tupperware’s Vice President of Global Design and utilized an international network of 17 designers working out of Orlando, Brussels, Tokyo, and Copenhagen. Mr. Ekeblad’s influential design work at Tupperware furthered the brand’s mission to create innovative and surprising solutions for the kitchen and home. Most recently He directed the product and brand development for HLD, a home decor and life style company out of Hong Kong and NYC. He is a proven leader in the convergence of global design and lifestyle trends into new business concepts, and is frequently featured in numerous publications, both nationally and internationally.
