Dan Golden wool rugs
Dan Golden is a New York based artist who has shown his playful yet sophisticated work in galleries for nearly a decade. In 2006 Dan Golden joined forces with interior designer Ford Lininger and together they created and developed a series of luxurious hand-tufted New Zealand wool carpets. The pattern of the carpets is based on the artwork of Dan Golden. The launch of the collection was spring 2007.
With the carpet collection Dan Golden and Ford Lininger would like to bring fresh and bold design to interior spaces. They are passionate about environments and take great measures to make their carpets in the most environmentally and socially responsible way. According to Dan and Ford the carpets are meant to last a lifetime. That’s something I like very much. We definitely need to start to produce less but better products. I recently read a nice quote from the Gucci family that concerns this: ”Quality is remembered long after the price is forgotten”.
