Emirate architecture with inspiration from Greece
The online magazine Dezeen is showcasing Jebel Al Jais Mountain Resort - a tourist village on a mountain in the Emirate of Ras Al Khaimah designed by Rem Koolhaas. It looks like a very interesting project which reminds me of the small village of Oia at Santorini in Greece which I visited some weeks ago. My analysis is not deep… but look at the images below and make your own opinion. Rem Koolhaus is at least bringing life in an architectural style based on spectacular natural setting.
