Stand out from the crowd

I adore people that have a personal taste and dare to stand out from the crowd. In my latest David Report bulletin called Future Luxury I’m bringing forward a couple of trends which according to me in one way or the other will be important in the definition of future luxury. And as I see it we will be searching for uniqueness and originality instead of just another mass-produced faceless object from a global luxury brand. Yesterday I came across Style files and a post where they show some photos of a couple of inspiring collections from some friends of theirs. And what’s really nice is that most of it is flea market findings. Future luxury is not about money - it is among other things about smartness, anti-standardisation and emotions. Future luxury is also about knowledge, as Björn Jeffery brings forward in the Future Luxury bulletin. In a near future it will be much cooler to have the knowledge of where to find emotional objects at a flea market than a lot of money to spend on streamlined and un-emotional global luxury brand products.

I totally agree, unique is great. I frequently scour Flea Markets and small art galleries looking for new designs that are not yet or may never be mainstream.
Thanks for the article. I will definitley check out Style Files.

    Great article. But:
I like the idea that “Future… is not about money - it is among other things about smartness, anti-standardisation and emotions. …also about knowledg”, still I wish that these categories will not be considedred luxury in our future.

Trendoffice, I think it is good if today’s shallow luxury will turn into a more responsible and emotional luxury where knowledge is more important that money. Then even more persons will have the possibility to enjoy a part of the good life.
