Swedish designer trio Front has made a new hand-blown glass series for Stelton. The series is called Frost and is inspired by the Scandinavian climate. The different products capture the beauty of ice crystals that form on windows on a clear and frosty winter day. When the glass is just partially frosted you get a feeling that it is always ice cold. The series consists of an ice bucket, water carafe and glasses in two different sizes.

These are well done, but wouldn’t it be disappointing to pick up your glass and find that your drink is warm? I wonder how one might design a glass to highlight and emphasize the beauty of true condensation, once it forms on the surface.

What do you think?
