Outside Boxpark pop-up mall

BOXPARK is a retail revolution – a pop-up mall and home to more than sixty carefully chosen fashion, arts and lifestyle brands. BOXPARK aims to become part of the fabric of local life, wherever it pops up, it fits in, joins in and contributes to the community.

BOXPARK is radical stuff. It’s not some run-of-the-mall shopping centre. It’s a living, fertile community of brands packed with talent, innovation and attitude that puts creativity and fashion back where they belong: on the street, says BOXPARK founder Roger Wade.

    Just because someone says it’s the “world’s first pop-up mall” doesn’t necessarily mean it is, as a cursory internet search would reveal… for example: http://www.stuff.co.nz/the-press/news/cup-show-week-2011/5829017/Worlds-first-pop-up-mall-set-to-open

    Shipping containers subverted to other purposes are more cliché than cutting edge…

    The architects have devised about the most mundane configuration they could have. Dull dull dull.
    Do an internet image search and see what original and stimulating designs others have come up with. Eg; Lot-Ek’s Puma City;
