Maybe some of you have been able to go and see the waterfalls by Olafur Eliasson in New York this summer (they are actually running/raining until October 13th). They are a nice experience, but I would like to turn the clock back a couple of years and show his Weather Project, which was a remarkable installation at Tate Modern in London back in 2003-2004. It was a strong and special experience and drew attention to the fundamental act of perceiving the world around us. When I’m talking about design, brands, art and so on I think that a true cultural connection is paramount. The Weather Project definitely had that!
Talking about Olafur Eliasson, here’s a another post I wrote about an exhibition by him in Malmö a while ago.
