Swedish well known architect Gert Wingardh has designed a new shopping center in the southern part of Malmo in the southernmost part of Sweden close to the Øresund bridge. It has strong architectural qualities with its spectacular organic glass entrance and will give the new area called Hyllie a strong identity. The shopping center will be ready by 2009 and have a mix of 200 Scandinavian and international shops plus 30 restaurants and cafés.

The bottom picture looks interesting but the top picture looks disastrous, as if a huge truck drove into the side of the building. I hope it turns out OK.

Yeah it will be interesting to see how they make the entrance one smooth flowing surface. looks pretty awesome though. Looks like someone took a blowtorch to the glass I think its a neat concept

Very Gordon Matta-Clark, absolutely love the geometric subtractions and exterior lighting. Will have to visit.

Stunning project–epitomizes the evolution of the shopping center as a cultural center transcending just retail.
