David Bowie, my musical hero since the early seventies hits sixty today. Ziggy Stardust, Aladdin Sane, The thin white duke… He created his different “brands” by taking full control of the situation. David Bowie was inventing himself and his alter egos over and over again. A chameleon that put together pop, rock, theatre, cabaret, soul, funk, kraut, futurism, art and Japanese culture and joint together the future with the past. His continuing metamorphosis turned him into the ultimate teenage hero. I lift my hat (if I had one…) and say CONGRATS!
